Numbers and times of the obligatory prayer performance on the Moslems
As far as obligatory prayer
numbers are concerned, they are five in number as stated
below:

Daily
prayers:
A) Dawn (Morning prayer). It contains two
rak'as only.
B) Noon(Midday) prayer. It contains four
rak'as.
C) Afternoon prayer. It contains four
rak'as.
D) Evening prayer. It contains three
rak'as.
E) Night prayer. It contains four
rak'as.

At-Tawaf (going around the
Kaaba) prayer which is obligatory during pilgrimage and we will
touch upon it later on.
3-Al-Ayat (verses) prayer which
is usually performed when in fear of natural
catastrophes.
4-Prayer over the dead… usually
performed on behalf of a dead one on his corpse with a reward
in return.
5-A prayer for giving a vow or
for removing a suspicion which man usually binds himself with
or for hire.,
There are also - the so- called: (Approved
prayers) which are known as: (An-Nawafil) usually performed
voluntarily to win a reward in return for performing them at
night. The most important ones are known as: The ordinary
daily prayers. They are eight rak'at to be performed at
pre-noon prayer and the like of it at pre – afternoon prayer
and a prayer of four rak'at at post supper prayer, and eight
rak'at prayer at night prayer, two rak'at for Ash-Shaf and one
single rak'a after Ash-Shaf' and two rak'a for pre-dawn
prayer.
