The Islamic creed denotes that the timing of that great global event is regarded one of the secrets of the unknown world and the divine mysteries which nobody of Allah's creation can study and throw enough light upon it except Allah, (Glory be to Him) but they believe in the existence of Doomsday signs and marks which predict the close occurrence of the event of Doomsday. 
From the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) was narrated that he said: "No Doomsday will be held until there can be ten signs: the cunning, the smoke, Sunrise from the west, the coming out of the ass of the earth, the appearance of Yajuj and ma'juj, three ground downfalls in the east and the west, the Arab Peninsula, the emergence of Jesus, (P.B.U.H.) Fire emerging from Aden.
 These ten signs are called the greatest signs and said that there are other signs will emerge at the time being which are called the smallest signs whose occurrence will be an introduction to the approach of Doomsday and these signs are called the smallest ones because some people feel their occurrence and others do not among them is the Prophetic Mission of Muhammad (P.B.U.H.), the splitting of the Moon, the Opening of Al-Quds, the prevalence of seditions in all its spectra, the appearance of prophet-hood claimants most of whom are the cunning and the liars and others. 
Signs of Doomsday's approach as documented in so many important sources have been mixed with the signs of the reappearance of Imam Al-Mahdi to the extent that some considered the reappearance of the long-awaited Imam Al-Mahdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance) as one of the signs of Doomsday approach.


Doomsday Events
Men of knowledge have spoken about the horrors of Doomsday and what occurs of grave events. They can be divided into several stages: 
1. The stage of gathering them together. This stage starts when the Angel Isravel blows into the trumpet a blow with which returns all the spirits into fleshes and thus the fleshes get out of their graves hurriedly to the court of accounting and there the creation will stay for a long time with an intensified agony of long waiting in one spot until Allah, the Almighty, honors His Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) by preparing his honorable pond which will be frequented by the well-chosen people of the nation and banned against those who changed and altered then comes the establishment of the other ponds which refer to the prophets subsequently for the same reason.
2. The stage of waiting for reckoning: At this stage Allah wills to keep all the creation in a state of waiting and staying in hardship and stress, where the sun approaches them till everyone sweats to the extent of everyone's deeds in the world which he left behind.
3. The stage of the greatest intercession. Amidst such hard and long waiting all the prophets apologize to their attendants for being unable to intercede for them and the attendants ask their prophets to request the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) for them who owns the license of intercession and the and the praiseworthy position and Allah, in turn, gives permission to him to advance forward and say:"You intercede and I respond and you ask and I answer; and thus he will be awarded the greatest intercession on the Day of Reckoning to hasten their reckoning first.
4. The stage of exposition of deeds of Allah's slaves:
In this stage the deeds of the slaves will be put on display before Allah, the Almighty for reckoning.
5. The stage of the first reckoning wherein the books of man's deeds fly over here and there; so, some receive his book of deeds with the right hand and some with the left hand. 
6. The last stage of reckoning: It is the stage of argument, display of proofs, guides and the establishment of witnesses, evidences and proofs over the slaves.
7. The stage of balance wherein the balance is set up to integrate the creation's deeds fairly and evenly.
8. The stage of the straight path which will be lain over alongside Hell which the faithful believers go across to the other end until reaching Paradise while the disbelievers will surely be dropped into Hell.
9. The stage of (standing between heaven and hell) to recognize heaven deservers and transfer them to Paradise. In this stage the believers settle their disputes between themselves so that they can raise their required average which qualifies them to enter Heavens during which Allah will remove the grudge that is in their breasts so that they can enter heaven together as brothers resting on their beds opposite one another peacefully.
